Dr. Mukesh Ranjan Das

Dr. Mukesh Ranjan Das is the Executive Director (Human Resources) of Indian Oil Corporation, a Fortune 500 company in India. He has pioneered the "Chess for Freedom" movement in India through his organization's flagship projects "Parivartan" and "Nayi Disha" in Indian correctional homes. The chess coaching organized by his teams has led to India winning 5 medals (three gold, one silver, and one bronze) in the international online chess tournament organized by FIDE. This is the largest inmate program being run anywhere in the world. FIDE has conferred the title of "Ambassador of Social Chess" on him. His programs have impacted the lives of over 200 prisons/correctional homes and more than 10,000 inmates so far.
