Chess for Longevity

Chess for Elderly is a FIDE initiative designed to support the mental and social well-being of elderly individuals through the game of chess. This project focuses on promoting cognitive health by helping seniors maintain and enhance their memory, concentration, and problem-solving skills. Beyond the intellectual benefits, Chess for Elders fosters social interaction, reducing feelings of isolation and encouraging community engagement. With chess programs tailored for senior citizens in care homes, community centers, and online platforms, this initiative provides a meaningful and enjoyable way for the elderly to stay mentally sharp and socially connected. This project is still under the development.
