1.Chess for Social Change/ Idiots Don't Play Chess works by organizing chess club activities twice a week and tournaments in schools that brings both advantaged and marginalized students together. At the moment, we have twenty (20) participants.
2. Chess for Social Change/Idiots Don't Play Chess Project helps students to develop social skills, such as taking turns, learning fair play, self-respect and respect for others, understanding others' perspectives, and developing empathy. And as players become more adept at analyzing chess positions and making calculated decisions on the board, they concurrently develop the ability to tackle real-life challenges with increased ease and confidence. This heightened self-assurance has had a profound positive impact on various aspects of their lives.
3. Chess for Social change/The Idiots Don't Play Chess Program is currently being implemented in schools and chess clubs.
4. There is a notable impact story of Golden, a student that I have been coaching won the 2025 Body and Mind Olympiad in the Rapid Chess Tournament against a student from a higher class. Her father was there to watch the game and that made her day, because even though the father was the one who introduced her to the game, he did not really believe in her nor allowed her to play the game at home until then.
