The Psychological and Social Impact of Chess on Displaced Children Due to War in Sudan. In Sudan, the White Nile Chess Academy is helping displaced children heal from the psychological effects of war through chess.
So far, 65 children aged 5 to 18 have benefited from the program, building confidence, social connections, and mental resilience through training and tournaments. The academy is using chess as a path to healing and hope.
